On demo night on Thursday, September 19th, Leslie will prepare riders and auditors to understand the concepts, philosophy, techniques and applications of feel & release as it was taught to Leslie Desmond by Bill Dorrance.
Während der Demonacht am 19. September, wird Leslie die Teilnehmer und Besucher darauf Vorbereiten das Konzept, die Philosophie, die Techniken und Anwendungen für „Gefühl und Loslassen – Feel and Release“ wie es Leslie Desmond von Bill Dorrance gelehrt wurde.
Discussion / demonstration for the evening will center on issues that will benefit owners of young, troubled or untrained horses. Topics include: appropriate boundaries relative to specific circumstances, placement and timing of the feet, positioning of the head and neck, shoulders, ribs, loin and hips to ensure safe, accurate and pleasurable handling of the horse, pony or mule.
After the demonstration on Thursday night, riders can introduce themselves and their horses to the public. English is not required / introductions can be made in German.

What will you learn at the THURSDAY night demonstration?
The difference between "pressure and release" and "feel and release", and the circumstances in which a person and their horse would benefit most from the use of either one.
To recognize the basic feel & release requests for any gait, and direction and/or backing up. Maneuvers will be demonstrated in a smooth, slow and accurate manner so the auditors can understand what they are seeing, and the horse is not stressed.
Leslie will show you how to influence changes in posture (poll, mid neck, base of neck, elevation of the shoulders, heart girth, ribs, loin, hips) and to help the horse think clearly and move precisely as he places his feet.
Classes are for advanced riders and trainers only. Open to riders in any Western or English discipline.
Auditors 18 and under are always welcome at Desmond's EU clinics at no charge. Over 18 pay adult rate.
THURSDAY NIGHT DEMONSTRATION!
Come early and meet Leslie, the riders and their horses, and share a nice meal! Please arrive at the ranch by 16:00 for this event.
Everyone is requested to bring a covered dish to share!! (Salads, Soups, Vegetables, Meats, Breads, Desserts, Cheese Board, Fruits . . . and your own drinks!)

Qualifications: Intermediate Riders must be able to ride in both directions at the walk, trot and canter/lope, back easily.
Horses must stand still for mounting (from the ground or off the fence) and for dismounting. Horses must also be able to tie, and be in a small group.
Class limited to 5 riders
Helmets are required on all riders, regardless of discipline.
